A spot to archive nerd images of interest from out of print/hard to find art books, magazines, comics and other assorted ephemera laying about as well as detours into other things found about the web. I really do try my due diligence to make sure none of these things have been seen online before with the scanned images or at least new to Tumblr with the web stuff to make it worth everyone's while and to have fresh content but, y'know, I'm not perfect and I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
Some of the pieces from the 'Hey Oscar Wilde! It's Clobberin' Time!!!' literary art collection (link above) may make it over here from time to time as well. Or not.
Much randomness ahead...
For E. As always.
I’m sorry.

In return for the excellent meal I will give you one piece of advice for your good: don’t have more to do with dwarves than you can help!

Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?

It began with the forging of the Great Rings. Three were given to the Elves; immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven, to the Dwarf Lords, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of Men, who above all else desire power. For within these rings was bound the strength and the will to govern over each race. But they were all of them deceived, for a new ring was made. In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret, a master ring, to control all others. And into this ring he poured all his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life. One ring to rule them all.
